From Transatlantic Cables to Green Energy
In 2011, UK biomass power project developer Carbonarius discovered that a Canadian company, Nexterra, could provide a commercially proven, simple reliablebiomass gasification system that would meet all UK requirements for Advanced Conversion Technology and EU emission standards. Two years later the order wasplaced with Nexterra for a complete steam generation package for a 10 Mw power plant. The Nexterra system was commissioned in 2016 and has been operatingsince then. The plant is in Tyseley, UK, near Birmingham.

Nexterra will supply gasification and steam generation systems from fuel handling to stack (excluding turbine)

67,000 tonnes/yr of locally sourced, class A – C waste wood diverted from landfills
