Nexterra offers operator training, remote monitoring and support, spare parts sales, and other on-site services.
Sustainable Fuels
Nexterra is continuously improving and expanding the capabilities of its gasification technology. This includes testing new fuels, improving gasifier performance, and developing unique applications and new products. Much of the work has been done at our Product Development Centre in Kamloops, BC.
Thermal Energy
Nexterra's low-pressure (up to 150 psig) steam and hot water generation systems provide clean, reliable thermal energy for District Energy Plants or Industrial Process Plants where steam power generation is not required.
Electrical Power
For customers who need high-pressure superheated steam for conventional steam turbine power generation or for any other high-pressure steam requirements (such as District Energy Plants, Industrial Process Plants, and Independent Power Producers), Nexterra can provide economical steam systems capable of over 650 psig of superheated steam. The desired balance between power and heat will dictate the selection of the appropriate steam turbine technology (back pressure, extracting, or condensing).
Direct Firing Syngas
Syngas can be used in place of fossil fuels in many cases, including: lumber dry kilns, lime kilns, pre-existing solid fuel boilers, furnaces, etc.
Direct Firing Lumber Dry Kiln
Nexterra gasification technology offers the opportunity to direct fire lumber dry kilns with the hot flue gas from combustion of syngas. This simple configuration allows the use of biomass in place natural gas or propane. Nexterra technology provides a highly flexible source of stable and clean energy output with extremely low ash carry-over. In case of a process upset it has the ability to adapt quickly to load changes and the ability to drop heat output to nearly zero and divert to atmosphere.
